Hello Lady & Gentlemen Hackers!
Can you hear that?
No not that. That's just the sound of some previously consequential digital bits fizzing & popping as they disintegrate into a frothy, boiling-hot stew of mundanity (uncommitted code in your work-related version control repository).
*That*'s the sound of your latest side project, research spike, or random revelation telling you that it wants present itself to the world in "educational lightning talk" format (background + 5 min + 5 min QA) at 2pm on Saturday, October 6 at Blackbox Mansion.
Do you abide?
If you do please join us at aforementioned Blackbox Mansion (19 Selby Ln, Atherton, CA) at 2pm on Saturday, October 6 for food, beer, lightning talks, and discussion of various topics including but not limited to programming language design & implementation. If you do not abide still feel warmly invited to come for food, beer, discussion, & to watch some cool lightning talks.
Lightning talk line-up to be announced.
In case you were curious they are redoing the carpet @500 at the moment, so we are back at blackbox for this month.
Despite the ampleness of parking, blackbox mansion is harder to get to for some because it's further from public transportation. So if people can volunteer to help give rides or carpool that would be really helpful. I'm planning on going early (~1pm) to set up, so if anyone else wants to go that early I can give them a ride from downtown Palo Alto (just send me a message).
