This month we will focus on slow foxtrot, the most elegant and most difficult of the ballroom dances. As slow foxtrot is my own favourite dance, and I'm not happy with how I do it, I will indulge myself a little this month.
We will devote most of the time in class this month to perfecting this one dance, with the aim of as many of us as possible to come out at the end of this month with the ability to dance the slow foxtrot elegantly and confidently.
We will have our new second instructor working with us, so beginners can practice social rhythm and basic slow foxtrot upstairs, which will allow our improvers and lower intermediates to receive more time and attention from our main instructor - Barry.
Improvers and more experienced intermediate level dancers from outside Colliers Wood will be welcome, especially leaders with a good strong lead and good sense of rhythm, as will good followers. also with a strong sense of rhythm, which is, I believe, essential to master this dance.
I look forward to this month being an especially enjoyable and successful month. As usual, one class will be £6 and £15 for all four classes. And we will have a lavish social at the end of this month, as it's Christmas.
