This group is for those who want to learn to do ballroom dancing, improve their existing skills or want to revise what they did many years ago. We meet every Sunday at 5.25 pm. We do lessons for beginners at 5.30 pm, improvers at 7.30 pm and intermediates at 9 pm, and we also do free practice in all dances for two half hour sessions in between the training sessions, and have had a social dance nights with live music every fourth Sunday in the past. If this is popular, we may repeat this in the future too.

We especially welcome experienced dancers. We encourage our students to mix and change partners during  the classes. At present we have a few more male improvers than female, so female dancers with some experience are particularly welcome at this time. Same sex couples are also welcome.

We are five minutes walk from Colliers Wood station, or there's a large car park behind the building if you travel by car.  We manage to just about keep balanced numbers in leaders/followers and single dancers are  welcome. My name is George Tudor-Hart and you can  e-mail me at

georgetudorhart@hotmail.com

Cost is just £6 for the whole evening.

The dances we cover are slow waltz, ballroom tango, quickstep, slow foxtrot, rumba, jive, cha cha, Viennese waltz, Argentinian tango and blues. Our classes are about  how to achieve good posture, how to move, follow and lead with style and elegance, not just to memorise steps and routines.

Our dance trainer is Barry Gordon. You can contact him on 07960 340479 or by email on BoogalooBarry@Yahoo.Co.UK. You can also read about him on his website http://www.bestsalsa.co.uk/about.html.

If you are thinking about joining and have some questions please feel free to phone me on 020 8542 1490 - George Tudor-Hart

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
