Our goal is to join with local dancers in Ballroom, Latin, Salsa & Rueda, Hustle, Swing, Argentine Tango & more of all levels to increase everyone's skills in this dynamic and incredibly popular sport called DanceSport. Most events are in social settings outside of the typical bar and night club scene & are open to everyone. Membership approval is not required.
There are many opportunities for training since in the US (unlike in Europe) many don't know the social dances. So we're making training and practice available at all of our events. Consequently no one need be concerned about coming if you don't know the dances because others will be attending in the same situation. 
The Washington DC Ballroom, Latin & Swing Dance Meetup Group will not require approval for membership and is open to and welcomes anyone willing to make the effort; including all ages from school age to seniors, singles & couples, same-gender couples and the seeing & hearing impaired (limited ASL available ...and I encourage you so I can practice it!).
We will be hosting and attending specifically scheduled weekly Wednesday and Sunday "Dance-&-Learn Parties" (Visit www.PleaseDanceWithMe.com), including our "Sunday Salsa, Argentine Tango, Ballroom and Swing Socials" with classes starting from 3:15pm to 8:30pm and social dancing and practice from 6-7:30 and Tango dancing and practice from 8:30-11pm at DanceSport at Dupont Circle (www.DanceSportDupont.com), 2201 P St NW (1520 22nd St on google maps), Washington DC 20037.
When requested during the 6:00 practice session and 9:00 on Wednesdays we will be teaching the authentic (not the 'Thrill The World Version) 'Michael Jackson's Thriller' dance routine plus other MJ favorites (Beat It, Smooth Criminal, Billy Jean) for a future MJ FlashMob, to include THE OROGINAL and authentic 'Thriller' choreography down to the last detail...(but only for those who DARE to try it!....).

Watch for upcoming "So You Think You Can Dance DC" and "Dancing with the DC Stars" mini-dance competitions (plus "Dancing With The AC/DC Stars" mini-competitions for same-gender couples on occasion...any orientation, but competing partners will be of the same gender ...FUN!)...in all styles open to anyone ..... so plan to join us "OUT on The Dance Floor"!
