There will be live music by the Jack Melick Orchestra following a dance lesson on Quickstep at 7 pm. This dance is sponsored by the Marilyn Meyers Dance Connection Club which hosts ballroom dances throughout the year on the third and fifth Saturdays of the month. This club promotes ballroom dancing to the public. The dance is from 8-11 pm. The members fee is $14 and the guests fee $18. You can write a check when you pay at the door. There will be a table reserved under Cyndi Dorber's name. Everyone is invited to come and dance. Please let Cyndi know so she can reserve plenty of seats at the table.

More than 200 people attend these dances ranging from beginner to seasoned dancers. It's a delight to watch and dance alongside many of these friendly people. Some may even ask you for a dance. This dance also offers "mixers" where men and women line up on either side of the stage and meet in the middle of the room to dance down the middle of the floor until they get danced right back in line again to await their next dance partner. It's a great way to meet new people.

The dress code is formal/semi-formal. Men wear suits or Jacket and tie and women wear After 5. Do not BYOB. There is a beverage area downstairs where beer and wine coolers are for sale as well as water and soda.

The Sokol Hall is located on Greenville Avenue at Walnut Hill behind the Texaco Station and Parking Garage. It's on the south east corner. The "Sokol" sign is just beyond the driveway. Look to you right you get close.

They also hire dance hosts for the single woman to dance with. For more information about this dance you can look at their web site at

For more infomation about this particular dance, you can contact Cyndi at[masked]-8838. It's so much fun getting dressed up and to go ballroom dancing. Come join us! Happy Holidays!
