There's a Gottawing swing dance at the legendary Blob's Park. Huge floor, easy parking, lots a fun. Don't miss the drop-in beginner swing lesson with Tom and Debra (http://gottaswing.com/more/about-us). They regularly wow a huge crowd when they teach at Glen Echo, so it's quite a treat to have them travel this far north. Their variety of swing is Lindy, but it blends well with the more familiar East Coast Swing. Also, their dance team, the Eight Week Wonders, will perform during the band breaks. We have tables reserved near the dance floor. An excellent, small swing band, “King Teddy” will perform during open dancing. For a sampling of King Teddy's music, go to www.kingteddy.com/wordsandmusic.html. Please do not bring ANY outside beverages into Blob's Park. Do invite other friends -- even groups -- to join us, just update your RSVP.
