The Baltimore Book Club Meetup Group Message Board › book for November

book for November

A former member
Remember from now on we will be selecting a book for 2 months ahead whenever we meet. This month we selected Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut. So the schedule is as follows

October: A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius by Dave Eggers.

November: Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut.

I just heard today on the Diane Rehm show on NPR (WAMU) that they will be discussing Slaughterhouse Five in November on Readers’ Review.

Also check out the archives on the site which includes a list of books and audo files of the discussions since 2002.

Readers’ Review
This book-club-style discussion is held once a month, usually on the third Wednesday. A panel of authors, professors, and book-lovers joins Diane to talk about their reactions to the month's selection. All books are available in paperback unless otherwise noted. If you'd like to suggest a book, please write and tell us about it.

Slaughterhouse Five is being discussed now (11 am, Nov. 16) on the Diane Rehm show on NPR (WAMU). An audio file of the show should be up online the next day.
