Informal brunch

  • Needs a date

  • Needs a location

  • I would love to see an informal meal be organized, mainly for networking purposes. As a veteran developer, I'm not really interested in attending a lecture on something I already know about.. I'm way more interested in meeting fellow iOS/Cocoa developers, learning about what they're working on, and maybe finding someone to team up with on a project. Seems like most people have day jobs, so maybe a Sat/Sun brunch.

I would like to meet up with an energetic person who has a desire to form a partnership on a few projects. [masked]

Happy hour works as well. I just attended a Geek Happy Hour at the Potin Stil in Timonium the other night. Just saw this has been posted for a few years now. How often do you all meet?

If the brunch is on the weekend, then I will attend.

I like the sound of this. Count me in as well. Teavolve is a nice venue for such an event.

There won't be many people with Mac's on the table with iPhones connected to them, and there is usually some innate skill that allows us to recognize each other. If all else fails, I'll tell the host that the table is for the Cocoa group in case anyone asks.

Awesome, and i love tea :) It's on the calendar for me. I'm not sure how this has been done in the past but I assume there will be a sign on the table or something :)

Harbor sounds good. Saturday is Security BSides in Delaware, I'll be there, but I could do Sunday Nov 7th or Dec 4-5th. Another group I belong to, CharmSec, meets at bar one Thursday every month for happy hour, could be another idea. Like you said, doesn't have to be a big group.

Some place around the harbor? Definitely someplace that could hold a large party, like Miss. Shirley's, Teavolve, Langermann's, etc. I'll be in CA nov 13-21, and then there's Thanksgiving weekend, so I could do either Nov 6-7 or Dec 4-5. btw, I'm also happy to just meet other iPhone devs randomly for meals without needing a large gathering. If you're interested, find me on FB and send a message.
