Series viewings are a great way to get in a good fix of your favorite anime or learn about new ones, but sometimes you need that feeling of completion to feel satisfied. Enter the Movie Night. Come join your fellow Otaku for back-to-back full length features sure to satisfy ... or enrage, or befuddle, or bring you to tears, or leave you light headed with laughter. Some light fare will be provided (drinks, chips, popcorn, cookies and/or other sweet thing, and some form of non-junk food) but feel free to bring food and/or beverages that you'd like to share. Once we get to the week before/of the event I'll send out my address, as I currently am not sure what it will be O_o. Also I have a large, friendly, and seemingly endlessly furry cat. If you are allergic or deathly afraid of cute, vibrating lifeforms -- this may not be the Meetup event for you. The Selections I currently have available to watch are: The Girl Who Leapt Through Time Metropolis Sword of the Stranger Origins - Sprits of the Past and possibly a few others Feel free to bring any that you would consider a good watch! -- Your Friendly Neighborhood Rudie

It was nice being over Rudie's place...even though andy and I walked a long time going the wrong way. Watched some anime movies, played with the kitty cat and the little baby girl too. Next time I come over I will not forget to bring "Ah! My Goddess: The Movie"

After minor technical difficulties, things went pretty well. It was nice to have the little discussion afterwards; it certainly helped to put the pieces of Karas: The Prophecy together. All in all, not bad for my first hosting. I hope to see you all at the next Meetup I make it to.

What can I say? We watched two movies and spent some time talking about anime and stuff before I left. Everyone seemed to have a good time. What more can one ask for?

Has anyone seen Ah My Goddess the movie? I own that and will bring it if anyone is interested in seeing it.

@Daryl, it really struck a chord with me as well and I definitely have it on the list. However my copy's subtitles look a bit transparent at times so we'll see how it all works out. I know Netflix takes sometimes up to 4 days, so if there is anything you can think of please bring it! I wanted to include Karas as well but I think that died with our old hard drive. I've seen that on Netflix, perhaps that's one you could look into? It's actually 2 movies, but not sure if they're both on there.

Hey, I JUST saw the movie used for the picture, The Girl who Leaped Through Time... twice. It was so awesome I wouldn't mind watching it yet a third time.

If you guys want a movie rented, I could make sure I get one via Netflix for that day.

I love kitties....so you won't have a problem with that from me. I only have about 4 anime movies, so I don't own many or even know of many!
