Watch Documentaries About Anime, Video Games, & Showbiz Pizza

Time to learn about something you never knew existed.  Not meeting on the 2nd Sunday, as that is Easter.

Get Lamp:If you were born after the mid 80's, you probably don't know what Text Adventures are.  In this documentary, learn about the power text adventures games had on the public and in colleges across the nation; stories fraught with dangers, excitement, exploration, and puzzles; some pondered it could be a new form of literature they would talk of decades later.  This was an industry that they said would last forever; and then, it vanished.  What happened in those years, and is the text adventure gone for good?

Animation Runner Kurumi:  Best OVA of the Year in Tokyo (2001) - Ever wonder what it's like to work in an anime studio?  Kuromi just landed a job at Studio Petit, but when her boss is hospitalized, she finds herself the head of anime group (who are lazy slackers) and suddenly it becomes her duty to finish the next episode of a popular anime, or risk disappointing fans everywhere.

The Rock-A-Fire Explosion:  Kids flocked to Showbiz Pizza for rides, games, arcades, & the animatronic rock band.  It entertained kids and adults alike until it was mysteriously bought and taken over by Chuck-E-Cheese before vanishing forever.  20 years later, learn from it's creator Aaron Fletcher how it all began, and how it still affects him to this day, as well as one fan turned his entire backyard into an animatronic playground.  Learn how the power of nostalgia can be a double-edged sword; as one man dwells on the past to prevent himself from moving forward, while another uses it to achieve his dream.
