“Halloween Music Mash in The Barn”
Saturday, October 26th from 2:00 until?(the/your end)?
Hosted by the Hyson’s
Many of our friends have asked us if we’d like to host a Halloween Party in THE Heated BARN, and we thought it would be a hoot, so here it is:
The Halloween Mash
Schedule of Events
2:00 PM - Music in the Barn begins
3:00-4:00 PM - Eating and Chili Contest
7:00-8:00 PM - Costume voting and prizes
9:00 PM - Bonfire with Acoustic Jam/Circle
Since it is getting chilly, and days are shorter, the barn will be heated adequately with propane space heaters. There will be sound for the stage and lights for the evening entertainment. We have taken into consideration everyone’s suggestions, and the stage set up will be a little different.
Costumes are not required, but there will be prizes for the following: funniest, most original, and scariest; and everyone will be voting for their favorite costumes.
There will also be a contest for the tastiest home-made chili. Now, can anyone beat this chili? It was June Carter Cash’s recipe! Five judges will let us know. We have two judges so far: Dave Smith and Marv Egolf. We need three more chili judges (folks not competing in the chili contest). Please comment if you wish to enter the chili contest. We can accept up to 8 entries only due to electric outlet supply. We need to know who's bringing chili for the contest so please speak up now in a comment.
There will be a bonfire again, and acoustic music will ring out at the bonfire at 9:00 p.m. or so after the costume prizes are awarded.
We’ll see if Gary’s Great Uncle Nelson Rehmeyer, the man in the picture, who was hung for allegedly being a witch, will come back this year from the dead to seek his revenge once again. Let’s see if he does at the bonfire, where the true story will be revealed.
Items you will need and other things to bring along:
· A Dish to share-no cake please. There will be birthday cake to share.
· Cameras and other electronics
· Costumes-it’s a hoot!
· Old shoes, no high heels, and items for the bonfire such as blankets, roasting rods for marshmallows and extra to share, hot dogs, etc.
Pointers and other stuff
No pig will die for the Mash, but other sacrifices are in the hands of Nelson.
By the way, anyone know what happened to our cat?
The bats are hanging in the rafters waiting for some good ole barn mash music!
Hope to see you at the Mash to get Witchy with us!!!!!!!

If anyone has extra roasting rods, message us via Meetup. Gary can make some sticks for anyone that wants them to roast marshmallows.
