I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the day. Yesterday was blissful musical saturation indeed. I've been doing other things today, and I will get back to further tasks pertaining to the festival probably tonight or tomorrow evening.

    My write-up

    Brittain Duckworth

I am an acoustic singer songwriter. I started playing seriously at the end of high school. I played 2-4 gigs a week during college in Daytona Beach and the surrounding areas. I moved from North Georgia to Hunt Valley, MD for work in November of 2010. My writing continues to progress and I enjoy sharing at open mics and the occasional gig.

My set will be all originals:

    1.) Doubts
    2.) Tickets to the Moon
    3.) The Piece
4.) Not Sure? (An on-the-spot decision)

Its a bit outdated but here's the link to listen to a few songs: http://www.myspace.com/brittain...

See everyone there! mmmmmmmmmmm wine :)

Hi, Sue - I may have two or three friends that may show up - just so the staff knows how to plan the menu.

  • Sue Wachter

We are going to have a fabulous event! We will take the music out on the deck if the weather cooperates, meaning not too hot and not threatening rain. Otherwise, the music will be inside (with a.c. if needed), and tables will be set up on the deck for eating and tuning.
The winery needs to know how many people roughly are expected, to make decisions on the menu. Soda and water will be available for purchase if you're not a wine drinker. We will have Randy and Marv audio recording sets for you, and Jeffrey Wolk photographing.
I envision the jam as acoustic and unplugged, inviting novice and expert alike and all together. (I might add one more set before it starts 5:30-6). Any thoughts on the jam set-up are welcomed.

    Sue,
I ran into Andy R. this morning at work and he filled me in. I'll be there unless work sends me off again but I don't think they will in September. Looking forward to it. Kim is coming home this Sat as well so she should finally be there to check out the cellar. Please let me know which time slot I will be in.
    Thanks,
    Brittain

hey, Brittain, I'm glad to hear you can make it. You will be doing the final slot, at 5:00, which is followed by the jam. All I need from you besides a confirmation the week prior, is a brief write-up about yourself as a songwriter, and something regarding the original pieces you will be performing. Thanks! We are only having one Friday between now and then, 9/7. Hope to see you at that one too!
