What level guitarist are you? (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Expert)

Somewhere well beyond beginner...but looking for a duo partner(s) to practice songs with for eventual open mikeing - but I can't do that alone, not yet anyway. I know alot of Jim Croce songs, some Don Mclean and I'm a pretty quick study learning acoustic parts. Please let me know if interested - thanks.

Where did you find out about the Baltimore Guitarist Group? If from a member, please put their name.

What is your favorite guitar that you own?

I have a 1977 Ovation Balladeer and a 1978 in Sunburst that I bought because it looks just like Jim Croce's road guitar, except it's not amped. This is the video that made me buy it - Ii just sounds so crisp and sharp: I also have a few Seagulls which sound very nice to me.

What guitar do you wish you owned?

Jim Croce's Ovation!

Who is your biggest guitar influence and why?

Jim Croce's songs were my first exposure to music as a kid - from my older brothers and sisters leaving his albums laying around etc...but I could have done alot worse than that! As I got a little older, Don Mclean's music inspired me to take up the guitar. Coming full circle in the last year or two I love learning and playing Croce's stuff nowadays. I don't have a Maury to play against, so I just fingerpick Jim's parts.

Hi in Bel Air, but from South Philly. I Love to play acoustic but kinda tired of playing alone. I think I play ok (fingerpicking style), but no experience singing in front of people. I'm hoping this group can beat that out of me ;)
