Hey Jim! Planning to make my return to Shallow Creek tomorrow night. Life has kept me away the past few times, but Shallow Creek has been in my heart. Yet to find a group of people and an open mic that compare! Thank for telling me about the BGG too - even passed along a card or 2!

I Think that they are, I saw the openMikes.org info and the guy I take lessons from says his friend does it. It is listed from 9 to 1, I am only across the tracks from it, so no biggie for me, I can go and let you know if they are still having it and if so, then look for next week to get together, and if not I can just enjoy a cold one, lol If they do still have it, I hope it is as good as the Shallow Creek, it is too close to my house to be a bad one, I would be bummed!

Hey Jim, this Thursday will be a good Thursday for me to check out the Open Mic at the Hodle if you are still interested. Just not sure the time, we can either meet there or at my house before. Do you know what to expect with that O.M.? Since I am still a beginner, I have no idea how serious these guys are or if it is like the BGG and laid back and very accomodating for all skill levels to get their experience level up.
