Glen Rock, PAUSA 17327
August 16, 2010
Since I joined BGG in September 2010, I have gone from a living room player to a performer, and I have the great friends of BGG to thank. I believe in this movement so much that I now have my own sound system to host meet-ups.
Intermediate probably. I do some fingerpicking, and can keep up with most players.
My friends from the Glen Rock Mill Inn open mic (Monday nights) told me to check it out. My friend Andy, who also plays in the Daystar group at St. John's in New Freedom, mentioned the jams and I was pleasantly surprised.
I have a Taylor (514 CE) and a Guild (F40 blonde). Can't say which is favorite. They take turns. But recently, I have begun using the Guild for open tuning and it sounds fabulous!
I am perfectly happy with the two I have.
There is no one person. I have always been drawn to female players/singers, but love to finger pick in a blues style and flat pick in a folky bluegrass style. Lately, been working on some Dave Van Ronk.
It's amazing, the amount of musical talent out there. Keep it up BGG. You are making a huge difference in many people's lives!
Sue! Really cool to meet you yesterday. Thanks for your hospitality and for being a great host.
Sue - Thanks for hosting (again). Glad you can make this venue happen.
Again, many blessings to you and your family.
