I still consider myself a beginner even though I've been playing off and on (mostly off!) for over 25 years. I concentrate more on playing songs than my guitar skills.
Patty Bradford brought me to Benchwarmers open mic and Pam Spittle told me about BGG. So the next day I signed up..
I've only had my Martin/Sigma D35 for quite some time...
I am pretty happy with my Martin/Sigma D35 and I tend to prefer Martins, although anything that sounds on the warmer side with proper intonation and action will do. I have also recently been favoring my Alvarez Yari 12.
Neil Young because of his particular writing and playing style. Most of the songs that I love from Neil were easy for me to learn as a beginner, although I do them NO justice!!!
I'm a computer systems tech by day(and some nights)and had played guitar a good bit awhile back. Been in one band that didn't quite get off the ground. Had a blast at my very 1st open mic in Feb 2011 and it got me right back in the groove again!
Always a collection of fine players and wide range of musical genres...This week we got to see some mixing between the regular BGG attendees and Brother Bill Smyth's usual roster of players..The venue reportedly had a good receipt night!!!!!
