What level guitarist are you? (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Expert)

No idea. I've been playing for a long time. Son about a year and he's way better than me already.

Where did you find out about the Baltimore Guitarist Group? If from a member, please put their name.

Jim Magness

What is your favorite guitar that you own?

Gibson LG 12

What guitar do you wish you owned?

I'll know it when I play it. Jon is wanting a new one. My kind of noble quest!

Who is your biggest guitar influence and why?

Me, no guitar per se. Admire so many. Singing wise, Jessye Norman takes my soul, wrings it out, and throws it through the galaxies. Priscilla Herdman for her clean folk sound. Maureen Hegarty for that precise Irish freedom. Jon... Scott McMickin, his writing, Pete Seeger, his deceptive simplicity.

My son, Jon, and I are both joining. He recently picked up banjo, mandolin and guitar and is amazing. I know, I'm biased. I am a so so guitarist and a professional singer/voice teacher. We live in York Co.
