Bill Libkey made me do it! I liked it. I keep doing it! Bassist for the Wharf Rats and occasionally with UXO, Barefoot Romeos, and KING LEWMAN as well as sporadic sit-ins...
Above sea level, below the radar, down low.
Ibanez 5 string fretless, no, Fender Precision, no, Guild b30, no Fender, uh Marty's fretless, no the P-Bass... no maybe a standup or cello...
Rickenbacker, Alembic or Warwick bass, cello and/or a standup.
Phil Lesh, John Doe, James Jameson and Duck Dunn first and foremost, then Jack Bruce and John Paul Jones, John Entwhistle, and Jack Casady, Flea: Because they're bassists...
This is a good opportunity for starting musicians to perform with others in a non-judgmental situation and a great chance for established musicians to perform with different combinations of players. It's also a great opportunity for skilled cats to set aside ego and gunslinging and mentor some folks along the path.
Hey Marv...welcome to NOVA Deadheads! (~);}
Thanks Marv!!! I really needed that advice. I went through my list of song I already have printed and will take your advice about the 3 songs. Now if my guitar playing doesn't clear the house my singing will. I'll make sure I'm on last and my opening song will be "Closing Time"!!!
Happy New Year to you fine folks. Glad to be back in the group again after way too long a time.
Now, I'll start to make plans on attending whatever I can. Not that easy since I live in York, PA as you probably know. Wheee. Anyway, we'll have fun whenever it's our turn. ha
Thanks for the welcome Marv. I'm just now figuring out my page to respond. =-)
Thank you for the nice greeting and am looking foreward to meeting soon.
Thanks Marv. I hope to see everyone soon.
