Howdy, Friends & Neighbors!
Intermediate at best.
Santa Cruz 00 & Weber A-5 Rawhide mandolin.
Very happy with my instruments. Although, I do hope to get an octave mandolin in the near future.
Too many to enumerate.
This meetup was so much fun that people were actually falling out of there chairs. Oh yeah, and there was birthday cake!
I have re thought it and will be attending tonight
after our discussion about tone woods and solid vs. laminate I need some advice as far as getting the best I can. I was looking at an Eastman Cutaway Acoustic/Elelctric with solid Sapele back and sides or a Blueridge with Brazilian Rosewood laminate. I realise the difference in sounds but both are worth having. My Yamaha is 30 y/o solid top and possibly rosewood laminate. I'd like to really have them all in case I get proficient enough to prefer one or the other for a particular song.
Thats cool Just let me know and I can get over there and sign u up
Hi David. Welcome to the group. I hope to meet at a poetry open mic eventually so we can get to know the performing side more. I look forward to meeting you and reading and hearing your writing.
Hey David. Can't make it tonight but let me know how this goes. Hows the Santa Cruz?
Call me @ 303 51-3596
Let me know about the new Santa Cruz
It's not a meet up event. It's hosted by the store. Guitars Of Pikesville on Reistertown Rd below the beltway. Usually very nice jam. Round robin set up. Folks come from all around. Sometimes large and sometimes small but always friendly. Check the facebook page or store site. In August they are having David Greir(sp) a chapion blue grass picker concert. Very close and personal. Hope to play with you soon.
