How long have you been developing in PHP?

I played around a bit with BASIC, DOS, and PC's as a kid, and self-taught myself some very basic but functional C around early high school, but only just since the Spring of 2013 have started getting into PHP, professionally programming and web developing for the first time for my new, somewhat experimental probable dream-job with a serious, local, established print shop looking to expand and drive its core business by branching into more comprehensive online solutions and integrated campaigns. I have been messing around with PC computers (DOS - Windows) since I was very young in the mid-80's, and hand-writing HTML (primarily as a personal hobby) since the mid-90's. I have subsequently been deeply involved with the digital printing, scanning, reproduction, manipulation, and archiving industry in several vocational capacities since the turn of the millennium...

What would you like to learn or gain experience in?

I would like to finally develop some solid, clean, actual programming chops, and all things considered, PHP looks like the definite way to go for my current interests and development goals. Some topics I am particularly excited to get into or foresee dealing with professionally include: LAMP, MySQL, Drupal, Dreamweaver, HTML 5, web standards and accessibility, CSS, LESS/SASS, non-profits, open source, responsive / adaptive / fluid web design, mobile web design, SMS, community development, e-commerce development, print and (e)mail integration, developing solid secure efficient and elegant coding practices, CRM, web administration, PDO, web-to-print, cross-media marketing, variable-data printing, etc...

Introduction

I am a particularly "free-spirit" who grew up in Maryland and, despite frequent travels, keep coming back to Baltimore. I've been geeking out with computers since a VERY early age. I'm VERY much into local art, music, and DIY scenes, and bicycling.
