Tucked away in a classy community is a beautiful facility waiting for the sounds of Salsa and lots of dedicate dancers. Grab your summer chic or swimsuit attire and plan for an unforgettable evening with Sue Elliott from the Baltimore Salsa Blog. Who doesn't like to enjoy an outdoor summertime event with a live band? This event is open to the public. Invite friends, family, and co-workers. This is a fun and exciting way to introduce others to the world of latin music and dancing in a relaxed atmosphere. Rain date is August 21.

Baltimore, MD 21229
Ages 18+
Tickets: $15 at the door

Food and Drink:
Grills are available for you to cook on (see brick grills to left of picnic tables in last photo). Cold drinks are available to purchase. I encourage you to bring food to share - hot dogs, hamburgers, steak, and chicken to cook on the grill. Otherwise, cold fruit is awesome - grapes, watermelon, strawberries, pineapple, and cherries. No time to run to the store? Just grab a bag of chips from the house. Bring lots of beverages to stay hydrated. Alcohol is permitted. The swim club has an ice machine. Bring paper cups and plates.

Entertainment w/Cubano Groove:
Rene Ibanez is a well known Cuban percussionist out of Washington, DC who has performed with many well known artists and bands (including Sin Miedo) in and outside of the Metropolitan Area for the past 20 plus years. His band Cubano Groove keeps traditional Cuban music old and new alive. Sit back relax, dance and enjoy.
Who's Coming?
Baltimore Salsa Meetup, Members of SalsaNow and KayaDance, the Yelp community, Fans of the Blog, Members of the Swim Club, and many more. Create the buzz and let's see if we can make this the biggest Salsa party in Baltimore for the summer of 2011. Spread the message on Facebook, Twitter, Google +, text messaging, phone calls, and word of mouth. Invite everyone. If nothing else, I (Sue) should win a prize for having the longest event description for a salsa event in Baltimore.
Let's Celebrate:
Join us to celebrate the birthday of a very special instructor in the community, Claudia "Kaya" Barraza. Kaya hosts the 2nd Friday's monthly Salsa Block Party at the Towson Dance Studio and partners with Sue Elliott for directing the 3rd Annual Baltimore Salsa Fest to be held in the Spring on March 30-April 1, 2012 ( www.baltimoresalsafest.com).
Sports Challenge:
One more thing, for those who are sports minded, there is a basketball and volleyball court available for our use so go ahead and challenge someone to play in a bikini.
Pool Party = > Swimsuits:
Yes, the meetup hostess will be wearing a swimsuit so will many other guests! This could get very interesting. Still have questions? Call Sue at [masked] or visit her famous blog www.baltimoresalsablog.com.
Inclement Weather:
If there is a chance of some rain, no big deal, however, thunderstorms and lightning are a different story. We'll send out an update via meetup by 5pm if there is any change in plans.
