Thomas Miley will be performing live computer graphics and music at the Center for New Music in San Francisco on Sunday, April 13th at 7:00 pm, along with Silvia Matheus and Bill Hsu. In this concert computer graphics are informed by physics and animated processes. The movement, data, and interaction of computer graphics generate sound and music. This is a way of hearing and apprehending structure that is normally only seen. In the second half of the concert Thomas will be joined by Silvia and Bill. Silvia and Thomas will perform with analog instruments (Silvia also uses a Kyma system for sound generation and live processing). Bill will control computer graphics systems and will respond to Silvia and Thomas' audio performance.
