It's as fun as it looks.  For me and many people who use it, the smooth Tai Chi-like movement is unforced, unconscious, unavoidable, and, unlike similar head nodding tendencies, can be highly relaxing.  Most of the noisy street fairs and other events where the Space Palette is shown aren't usually conducive to exploring this aspect, but it (using it as a relaxation or therapeutic aid) is one of the areas I think can and should be explored much more deeply, once people get tired of using the Kinect for fun and games :-).
