Since it's a USB device, the implication I would assume is that you could poll it for activity and harness those values into programs like Max/MSP, etc. I would imagine there's probably even code out in the wild that does this already, if not it'd be pretty easy to convert into a MIDI device one way or another.

The rig itself is pretty interesting, not a smash hit for gamers but if you want to come up with some whacky 3D interface for music programs it's spot on for the need.
