I like the T.O. Blue Jays in the American League, the D-Backs in the National League, the Marines in the Pacific League and the Dragons in the Central League.
The first sport I played seriously was little league baseball in the very cold climate of Winnipeg Manitoba. Like most young lads by the time winter ended I was on to something else, as many boys are now computer game crazy. I'm a all-rounder sportsman and have played a host of sports, but as I have gotten older baseball has come around again, as you can talk (like at a pub) during a baseball game and not miss too much, and that adds to the comfort of baseball that is wasted on the young. Loud discos (sucks) or sports stadiums with loud speakers, where you can't hear yourself think (and or have a ring tone in your ears afterwards), are not much fun anymore.
Yes, as said I played little league in Winnipeg Manitoba, but also coached a team at the YMCA. Now I am head coach for a mixed nationality team here in Japan. Most importantly I coach my switch pitching and switch hitting son.
Yes and you are bound to hear of him in the future.
Well as the organizer that is likely to have a biased answer. The purpose of the first meet up was to see how the system worked here at Meet Up. More to the point the practices need coordination, and will prove the real worth of this system. I'm sure we will have meet ups for games, sports bar games and watching at someone's home, but the team or teams are the most important.
