FROM LFEA

HB696 by Rep. Montoucet which provides for changes to the film tax program was amended in the House of Representatives. It is scheduled for Senate Revenue and Fiscal Committee tomorrow, May 29 at 9 a.m.

YOUR HELP NEEDED:

Contact members of the Senate and ask them to vote against any measure that would make Louisiana less competitive in the entertainment industry. There are a number of items that are not pro industry and would have a negative impact if passed.

Now is the time to contact State Senators and urge them to support the film industry in Louisiana. Ask them to ensure that any measures that come before the legislature should not harm Louisiana’s competitive position with other states.

Please continue to communicate the positive message to the Louisiana Legislature that they have shown great leadership in their support for the film program and in growing the industry. Reinforce that it is important Louisiana remain stable and competitive in the film industry.

Any questions please text me at 225-235-7879 or email me lasunshinebr@yahoo.com or Reply.
