PITCH IT!- SCREENWRITING FOR ADULTS

September 24 – November 19 at LSU Performing Arts Academy in Baton Rouge

Learn to write for television…and then pitch your idea to a real life Warner Bros. exec. During this fast-paced, intensive 8-week class, you’ll learn the full process of writing for television, from developing your idea, writing the story, creating beat sheets, outlines, and more! At the end of the class, you’ll have the chance to pitch your idea to the Vice President of Warner Brothers Writers’ Workshop, one of L.A.'s premiere pipelines for emerging writers.
Meets Tuesdays & Thursdays.

About the Instructor:
Los Angeles-based writer Zina Camblin received her M.F.A. from UC San Diego and Certificate in Playwrighting from The Juilliard School. She has worked on TV show development projects with both NBC and Estevez/Sheen Productions at Warner Bros and is on the writing staff of the sitcom “Let’s Stay Together,” produced by Queen Latifah. One of her original television scripts had an industry reading that featured Wayne Brady and Tracie Thoms. After selling an original pilot script to NBC, she began teaching the process to a group of high school and middle school students, arranging for them to pitch their ideas to a studio executive. The overwhelming success of this class inspired the idea to continue the work on an ongoing basis. Zina has also had several of her plays produced at regional theaters around the country, and has enjoyed the process of creating both theater and material for television.

Tuesdays & Thursdays| 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. | Zina Camblin, Instructor | Tuition: $350
