Sun., 8/25/13: Pacific Grove 18 Holes

This will be our 5th trek down to the beautiful Pacific Grove, and I cannot wait to golf it again.

Our tee times are 11:30 and 11:40 a.m., and it's booked under "Lucy Kim."

Rates are $52 to walk or $68 to ride.

Here's what I had said about PacGrove when I scheduled the June meetup:

The Golf Channel named Pacific Grove Muni as one of the "Top 5 Hidden Gems" on the Monterey Peninsula. Golf Digest named this course "One of the Most Fun Golf Courses," and GolfWeek said that it's one of the best municipal golf courses.

Carpool will be arranged.

2 warnings about Pacific Grove Golf Links:

    1. The weather is very unpredictable, so bring a jacket or sweater.

    2. Be very careful with your food on the back nine. Little critters like squirrels and birds will steal your food, no matter what the size. Noel's big ole sandwich was stolen by a bird and another player's bag of almonds was also lifted and carried away by a bird. The squirrels are very bold and have no qualms about trying to steal your food right in front of you.

Here's the line-up. The 1st and 3rd person, please check out the cart and ride with the golfer to your right.

    Group1: Noel, R.J., Kiet, Sam
    Group2: Lucy, Ernie, Henry, Scott

I just added a nickname for Henry. Isn't it a great one?!

BTW, one naysayer is claiming I won't play well at PacGrove because I'll be tired out from having golfed 7 out of the last 9 days by Sunday. All I know is that the last 2 times I golfed PacGrove, I shot a 100 and 102, and I'm determined to play better this time. I'm golfing Sunol tomorrow to practice with my driver and my woods, then Saturday at Las Positas to practice my short game. So, phooey on you!

Haha. I like it. Driver and hybrids are benched until they decide to behave.

Golfed 7 times in last 9 days?! Either you are joining the amateur tour soon or Golfaholic Anonymous soon. I'm jealous!

Gotta bail, too many responsibilities piled up this weekend to make an all day trip to Monterey feasible.

No. I added one more tee time because a couple of you guys haven't RSVPed yet and wanted to make sure that we still had spots for you. I'll hold a spot for you as my +1, just in case.
