Boulder Creek, 9/15, 18 hole, 11am

http://www.groupgolfer.com/

There is a Groupgolfer voucher for this course available until Monday afternoon (8/12).

The voucher is $24 and includes a cart. Normal weekend rate if you do not have the voucher is $48 (green fee + cart).

Two Tee Times confirmed for 11:00 am. Limited to 8 people.

Please be checked in and at the first tee no later than 10:45.

This is a very easy, 105 slope, 4000 yard course. The front nine is back in the woods - narrow lanes, lots of trees. The back nine is more open but does have one forced water carry hole. This course is playable by newer golfers, but not recommended for first timers or newbies.

I shot 43 on the front nine, and then completely fell apart on the back nine, shooting 57. At least I finished up with an up-and-down for par.

Despite that, I really like the course. It's a deceptively straightforward course, mostly straight holes or the trouble is really obvious, but man those trees were jumping in front of my shots left and right. Who knew treants lived in the Santa Cruz mountains?

We're not strict about this, for it rarely happens (actually, it's never happened before, has it?), but it's best if a member RSVPs to one meetup, they commit to it instead of changing to another meetup.

You are new to our group, so it's okay this time, but let's not make a habit of this. Meetups are double-booked at the last-minute sometimes, so as tempting as it is for some of our members (like a couple RSVPed to this meetup) to switch venues, it's courteous to stay put, thanks.

By the way, welcome to our group. See you Sunday.

Hi, I have not played this course.
I see that yardage is short and maybe walkable.
I am wondering if there is steep hills ?

Brian, because there are a couple of fellas who might not know who you are and don't know your last name, are the tee times under "Brian A" or your last name, "Armbruster"?

    Have fun, guys!

I would walk if I hadn't already paid for a cart with the voucher.

Note - There is not a driving range on this course. There is a small putting green near the first tee.

This course has a nice little 1/2 hour drive from San Jose, through the Santa Cruz hills. For those wishing to carpool, I will be leaving from Fremont around 9:30 planning on getting to the course around 10:30.
