(This meetup will be from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and no later than that.)
At this meetup, K-Vest/Biofeedback expert Gener Jimenez will help 4 members of our group tune up their posture at address.
In contrast to the last K-Vest meetup, there will be no 45-minute swing analysis. Rather, each participant will put on the K-Vest for approximately 15 minutes to check their current posture angles and be placed in the proper position based on tour player ranges.
The goal of this meetup is for the attendees to experience first-hand how just a simple improvement in posture at address activates the core muscles and large muscles in the legs leading to a better swing and a more consistent ball striking WITHOUT even changing their swing pattern. Attendees will also learn about the services Gener offers as a golf fitness medical professional.
Gener will post instructions on how to get to his office. See you at 5:30 p.m.
I'm scheduling a Thursday and Friday session. If there are people on the Waiting List, I'll schedule a couple more.
Here's what Gener has to say about proper posture:
As you may know, proper setup in golf is the cornerstone on which every shot is built. Jack Nicklaus believes that good setup is 80% of the battle in hitting a good golf shot. Tour players train their caddies to check their posture and position at address on a regular basis. Unfortunately, most amateur golfers don't have someone with trained eyes to check their setup, yet we address the ball 150 times each time we use a large bucket of range balls not knowing if we are in the proper position. Of course with practice, whatever setup we got used to becomes permanent.
