Sat., 7/26/14: Pleasanton Golf Center 9 holes

Pleasanton Golf Center's computer is set up to accept reservations 1 week in advance, so when they tried to enter my request today, the computer wouldn't accept it.  They jotted down our tee times and said they'll input them next Saturday.  I'll follow up with them next week, just in case . . . .

Booked under "Lucy Kim," our four tee times begin at 9:30 a.m.  Let's meet by the 1st tee (directly in front of the pro shop) at 9:15 a.m.

The green fee is $17, and pull carts are $3 ($1 refunded upon return of cart).

This golf course is an excellent practice facility and is situated in the middle of a horse racetrack at the Pleasanton Fairgrounds.

The entrance to the course/racetrack is very confusing, so I took a couple of photos for you (see below).  Once you enter through the gates of the fairground, look for the Golf Center sign on the right-hand side.  There's a very narrow driveway in front of the sign, and you have to honk your horn as you enter the tunnel, which leads to the golf course. This is because the narrow, single-lane road is used by cars entering and departing the golf course.

There's a little grass tee area (irons only) and a decent-sized putting green.

It was an awesome day dancing and golfing with the bulls running. What a blast. Thank you Lucy for a great fun day.

It was a really fun day of golf. I enjoyed golfing with Marcelina, David and Stan. Unbeknownst to us, today was the day of a bull run. I think Marcelina said it's the first one in the state of CA or maybe in NorCal.

What timing: The bull run began a little after we got finished with our round. It was really fascinating!

Also, because this was a big event, there was music blasting throughout our round, so we got to dance and golf at the same time.

    What a blast that was!

If we wait to tee off at 11:00 a.m., those who have the WestCoast ValueBook can bring theirs and get a 2-for-1 rate for themselves and another member.

Let me know if you'd rather wait until 11:00 a.m. to golf.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
