What are the factors that you consider when making decisions about food? Is it convenience, traditions, nourishment, pleasure, weight control or health? Do you eat for emotional comfort or are you addicted to certain foods? Are you at peace with your eating?
Can you identify with any of these beliefs about food?
• I need a coffee to get me going in the morning
• Desserts without sugar are not real desserts
• Vegetables give me gas
• Drinking wine daily is healthy
• I cannot be strong unless I eat meat or lots of protein
• Nutritional yeast is a healthy source of vitamin B12 and protein
If you know what foods to eat for your constitution, you will find balance and harmony in your sense of being as well as in your health. Some foods stimulate and can cause physical and mental stress; some foods produce a sense of heaviness and lethargy; while others are pure and balancing.
Join BAMM, Monday, April 27th at from 7-9pm for a workshop with Myra Lewin, author of "Freedom in your Relationship with Food: an Everyday Guide".
