Elkhorn Slough is the jewel of Monterey Bay. It harbors one of the largest tracts of tidal salt marsh in California. This ecological treasure at the center of Monterey Bay coastline provides much-needed habitat for hundreds of species of plants, animals, and birds. Sea otters, harbor seals, sea lions, and more than 300 species of birds abound. Sloughkeepers President Eric Norris shows us the best places to spot the various residents of the slough, while kayaking or on foot, in this multi-media presentation. This meetup is co-listed with Sloughkeepers Meetup. For more information about Sloughkeepers visit the following links:
Sloughkeepers is a Public Benefit, Non-profit California Corporation and is run on a shoestring budget. All that work for Sloughkeepers are volunteers.
