Leisurely Foster City canal paddle anyone?

It should be warm and clear with no tide and low wind on Sunday. How about a nice morning paddle? 6 miles and the option to stop at mile 5 and have a snack at the shopping center. Changing start time to 10:30 AM. We'll take the blue route, up to 6 miles total, but you can turn around and go back at any point you like to shorten it to your preference.

Later start will assure frost is melted. What is your route? I am thinking of doing just two miles. Leaving Monday for a few days away.

I'll post the route. You can paddle 6 miles or turn around and bail at any point you like. 1.37 miles to the shopping center, for example.

Temps are good, folks. You start at just under 50 and end up about 60 degrees F. Frost will be long gone by time we start.

JT, try asking Stanley Scolnick on Bay Area Sloughers. He lives in FC and offered a boat.

JT and others. There is no rental of consequence at Foster City, though the sailboard rental people do sometimes show up on weekends with kayak rentals. Nearby is Aquan Sports, who do rent in San Carlos, but they're on a different waterway system, so you have to transport. I don't have a spare boat to lend; sorry.
