Why are you interested in this Meetup?

I'm new to kayaking and this seems like a nice way to meet more kayakers.

What skill level are you? It really makes no difference if you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced kayaker. We ask so we can better plan our trips.

Beginner in 2013.

This is YOUR group! Tell me what you'd like to gain from being a member. Would you be willing to suggest and host paddles?

This space intentionally left blank.

Do you own your own boat? If so, is it a sit on top or closed deck?

I own two boats now: - Wilderness Systems Tarpon 120 (sit-on-top) - Hobie Mirage Revolution 13 (pedal-powered) I was perfectly happy with the Tarpon 120, but my elbow wasn't, so after about 1.5 years of PT I gave up waiting for it to heal and bought the foot-powered Hobie to get me back on the water. The Hobie is too heavy, overly complex, much too deep (the fins increase draft to about a foot), and incredibly expensive - but it's *fast*, so I love it anyway. :-)

Please read the waiver and skills self evaluation in the "More / Files" section.

We have a lot of nice waters around central CA, I like getting out on them.
