Announcing a new Meetup for Kayakers' Alliance!

What: Lake Natoma Yak Trip

When: Sunday, November 14,[masked]:30 AM

Where: Sacramento State Aquatic Center
1901 Hazel Ave
Gold River, CA

Lake Natoma is a quiet and secluded stretch of the American River located in urban Sacramento area. The lake is created by the runoff from Folsom Lake Dam and the Hazel St Dam. I am suggesting a trip starting near at CSUS Aquatic Center docks to the Folsom Rainbow bridge and up the river, time & interest allowing. There is a great picnic area near the bridge, also a few pullouts along the way. Easy paddle. Rentals available. Weather dependent, but nice days are possible into November. If interested can get details and pics to list.

Boat rental information can be found at: http://www.sacstateaquaticcenter.com/ Recommend call ahead to make reservations

Note from Jerry:

This is the first of our fall / winter trips. While there are still other trips to plan, lakes serve as a fun alternative to more open water experiences as the weather becomes less predictable.

Conditions:
Sunday: To be added closer to event

Tide chart: Not a factor for this paddle

Trip Classification: Everyone
