Hey everyone, how's it going? Well, we have a lovely new potential place to watch anime and we're excited to get things going. However, before we can do that, there are a few things we need to get in order in an effort to ensure the best possible turn out for this and the best possible relationship between the group and the owner of the comic shop where we are looking to meetup.
First off, the place in mind is Legends of Comics and Games in the Vallco Mall off of Wolfe rd. in Cupertino. Anyone familiar with Vallco may be familiar with Legends, who has been there for years. The owner Mel has been very supportive of our group using his store for anime viewing, so it's a wonderful opportunity for us to have a nice place to actually watch anime with a supportive sponsor. The place we're being allowed to view at is actually quite spacious too with plenty of seating, so it should be a very comfortable space to watch in.
However, there are a few
important things necessary to making sure that we can retain this space and actually have a place to watch. There is also a cost attached, just like Avatar, but with this cost there is potential to get more out of it, like possible bi-monthly and weekly viewings as well as major support from the owner. IT IS IMPORTANT that people answer these questions so that we can get an idea of what we can expect in terms of turn out and cost. Otherwise, we will run the risk of having no place at all to watch anime.
1. Is this something that interests you? Would you show up here if we got the place for anime viewing?
2. Would you be interested in monthly showings? Bi-monthly? Weekly?
3. If we only have access to one set of equipment, how would you like to see things structured for anime viewing? Voting system? Pre-scheduled? Free for all?
It's really very important everyone answers the questions in this email. Without an idea as to what
people want and how many people will show up, we won't be able to retain the store as a viewing place and may even have no place to watch at all. So please answer the questions and let's enjoy this wonderful new opportunity of a viewing place we have!
We have a thread on the message board set up for this, so please take some time to go in and give your two cents on the matter. After all, this group is for you too!
