The Bruery Sours Night

The Wine Affairs is not just for wine drinkers!  They have an amazing rotating selection of craft beers, both on tap and in bottles.  On November 18th, they are hosting a keg tapping of two of The Bruery's delicious and unique sours: Tart of Darkness and Oude Tart.  UPDATE:  The Wine Affairs is doing a special flight of 4 for $10 just for BABS members.  You can choose any 4 beers on tap on Monday night, including (but not limited to) the 2 special sours from The Bruery!

Tart of Darkness:  The Bruery brewed a stout then put it into the barrels that previously housed Black Tuesday and various other strong ales and added their special blend of souring bacterias and wild yeasts.  The result is a perfectly tart yet awesomely dark and roasty sour stout.

Oude Tart is a Flemish-Style Red Ale aged in red wine barrels for 18 months. Pleasantly sour with hints of leather, dark fruit and toasty oak.

Wine Affairs doors first opened in Fall of 2007. They are proud to be one of the first venues in the South Bay to start offering craft beer selections. They also offer a varied tapas menu until 30 minutes before closing.

The Bruery is a boutique craft brewery located in Orange County, California, specializing in experimental and barrel aged beer. Their name is a fusion of 'brewery' with their family name, Rue.

Please join us for what we hope will be the first of many great events at The Wine Affairs and enjoy the sours!

Thinking about it. I probably wouldn't for just those two beers, even though they are both good, so I look forward to more details. My wife (a wine drinker) might come if I do.
