Kerstbier Fest: Celebrating the Season's

IMPORTANT TIME CHANGE:

Kerstbier starting time has been moved to 6 PM on Saturday - so I'm adjusting our gathering time to 5:15 PM so that people can get settled (and find seating.)

This is one of the special events in December that brings out the holiday spirit in all beer lovers.

Kerstbier Fest, (or Christmas Beer Fest), is a unique holiday tasting experience - - sampling beers from an old world tradition, brewed for the biggest holiday of the year - - - Christmas.

This is the intimate version of the BevMo's Holiday Beer Festival - and features 100% handcrafted European beer styles to sample.

Held at serving stations throughout the entire bar, participants pay $25 and receive, a commemorative sampling glass, 4 tokens good for tasting 6 oz. samples, and a sampling card listing the beverages featured at the event.

Added BABS Beers: Look for me to be pouring 1 to 2 complimentary holiday beers that were my favorite in 2012, (note: I'll be at a special table in the back bar.) Don't forget to ask for your BABS Holiday Sticker:

How to get there: This is a commuting event – so Bus or BART your way over. The Oakland City Center/12th Street Station is just a couple of blocks from the bar.

Come join me for the last beer event in 2012.

Happy Holidays!!!

Thank you, Cliff! I was really impressed by the Trappist at my first Beer Social. And YOU did a great job as well of making sure that everyone was well fed and (even better) libated! What's the cost of this event?

I'm taking off the group size restrictions, because the Holiday's make people flaky and less likely to show up to events even after RSVPing. My guess is that about 25 people will actually show up to Kerstbier. If you do show, look for me to get your Christmas green stickers that say Happy Holiday's!!! BABS. If you see someone wearing one - say hi.

Cliff, so glad you expanded. I'm excited! Are we sending the $25 through PayPal or paying at the door b/c it's a Trappist event?

    November 20, 2012

    • Cliff

No advanced payment needed. You pay when you arrive.

      Great! See you on the 15th and I promise I'll remember it's at 3:00pm NOT 6:00pm! : )

    How do we reserve tickets

    November 23, 2012

  • Cliff

Spoke with Chuck the owner - and we can expand to 50 people, but this means you really have to be honest about attending. If you're not sure - please remove yourself from the list and let others take your place. This is a tiny bar and it fills up fast.

I may open this up to accommodate more people closer to the actual date of the event. Stay tuned.
