Casual D&D 3.5 game in Berkeley

  • Needs a date

  • Needs a location

  • Come play a relaxed D&D game in Berkeley. This is a table top game for those who don't identify themselves with the stereotype of the D&D player. You are outgoing, social, and want to play D&D without totally geeking out.

I know some of you who joined this meetup may ask, "what is a shadowrun?" or "what is the difference between 3.5 and 4.0?" You may not have any of the hundreds of books printed for D&D, or you may have only played Baldur's Gate or Icewind Dale as a youth. If that sounds like you, come and get acclimated to the system with this game and chill players. Experienced players who want a relaxed game are more than welcome as long as role playing remains minimal.

I will see how much interest I get and then we can schedule a date to meet to discuss the game.

In a effort to make it easier for players to find games with openings and games to find players, I have created a series of sticky posts at the top of the discussion forum. Hopefully this will eliminate the need to scroll down and search through the whole discussion forum to connect with one another.

I'm looking to get back into the swing of things; used to be an avid 3.5 player before college attacked. I really enjoy roleplaying games in general, so let me know if anyone has a game with an open spot!

We (my group) has a single opening for another DM/player, we had 3 dms but one flaked out, we are open to taking on someone who wants to learn to DM and run/play in the city we have created!

good, nuetral and evil. If you are good you are in contact with Diane, the goddess of peace, and all clerical realms are defined not by gods but by hre representatives, some of which are trapped in this world, if you are good, not only do you have to escape, but you will be charged with freeing some of her sprites and followers from other demons. If you are nuetral you can follow the one good God or one of the evil princes, but because of your lack of commitement you will never get any real help from your god.

If you are evil you can lie and cheat all you want, backstab who you want, but if you are an evil cleric you are constantly watched by your demon prince. The princes are always at war so you will be charged with destroying parts of other princes realms and in return you get help in your escape. The more realms you destroy the more help you get, If you select the prince of pain your escape is the ultimate insult and you become the hunted. Your character, ounce he escapes town will be constantly hounded by the soldiers of Damacles until you are captured. The advantage you hav, is that you know everything about the realm of pain, you even get maps of the whole realm and you can bargain out information because you know the realm so well.

I am interested in anything to do with 3.5 or pathfinder, I am building a campaign right now, but am willing to play, as my campaign will probably take a year to build

I am very interested in meeting the group as I am new to the area. I'm used to playing with smaller groups of friends, but my wife is encouraging me to branch out and meet new people. I love D&D 3.5 and can be available weeknights or weekends. LLAP

sunday would work for me, i see the same guys from the other group im gonna join, why dont we all just combine and form one D&D game? I was gonna run that group, but as i run all the time and never get a chance to play, i dont mind jeff running the majority of the time, I could always run some small story arch games to give him a break if he needs it. alternating gms sometimes does keep a group healthy.

I would definitely be interested in playing on Saturdays or Sundays. Would Sat or Sun in the next week or two work for both of you for meeting up?

I could do this coming Sat. the 2nd or any Sat. from the 23rd on. I am also trying to start a game on Sundays, I've posted here under the heading "Want to start ongoing D+D 3.5 campaign". We are doing a meet and greet on Sunday the 10th, which Monte is attending. Jeffrey your are more than welcome to come as well.
