A Penny for My Thoughts

Hi all,

I first got introduced to A Penny for My Thoughts at the Big Bad Con this last october. I found it moving and amazing. If you haven't heard about it yet, I'd recommend you check it out here.

I want to host a game of this, in either the default setting (in which you are normal people with normal lives), or in one of a few hacked settings I came up with.

My hack options include:
The Prison, focusing on a game about real people who have committed real crimes, and finding out what happened to them after their incarceration.

The Asylum, also about prisoners, but also involving a catestrophic event in which the sins of the prisoners pasts took on living forms.

Walk Among Dreams, highly inspired by the movie Ink, in which players retrace their history as supernatural dream walkers who protect the innocent from the world's darkness.

If your interested, RSVP up and vote for which playset you'd like to check out!

Also, I haven't set a time or location yet, but this would probably be on a Saturday or Sunday around Afternoon/Early Evening in the East-Bay Area

Good question - I'll be the guy with big hair and a goatee. I'll also have the game book on the table.

I updated my RSVP - due to the distance I'll be carpooling with my fiance, who will also play. :)

Hi all! Sounds like we've got some pretty different vibes on what to play. After reading over the book a bit more, I'm actually inclined to go with a more "real world" questionnaire myself. That said, if your curious about the other hacks, I can totally send them to you for your own play at a later date.

Also, I set up a time and date for the game. Let me know if you think this would work for you. The game usually runs about 3 hrs, but I would budget 4 since it will be a lot of people's first time.

    Looking forward to seeing everyone!

I vote anything other than Walk Among Dreams, for more or less the same reasons that Amanda gave.

I'm interested, if timing and location permit. And I vote Walk Among Dreams.

This game sounds AMAZING! I prefer "regular people" option, at least this first time. There will be enough craziness just trying to learn the system, IMHO.
