A Celebration of "Festivus for the rest of us" FULL

Join us for a celebration of Festivus --"Festivus for the rest of us" i.e., those who want to enjoy this time of year but wish to avoid the commercial and religious aspects.

You can learn more about Festivus from this clip taken from Seinfeld where the holiday was created some years ago.  It is now observed around the country

Come enjoy the spirit of the season.  Gallery Bar 4N5 will be pouring superb Pinot Noirs from a dozen different Carneros wineries, plus some Chards and Merlots, accompanied by  nibbles to go with the beverages.

Pinot Specialist Scott Rich, Proprietor Winemaker of Talisman Cellars will lead us through a tasting of his wines which have been acknowledged to capture the qualities of this AVA.  Since he also makes wines sourced from grapes grown in different regions, we'll be able to compare different appellations.

Open house format: Come by anytime up to 8:30 p.m.

Cost$15  for members and their guests for the wine flights and food if paid in advance via the WePAY widget below (or other arrangements are made with the Organizer).  $20 after.  $35 for nonmembers.

Difficult to turn out members from this and other Meetups this time of year. But we hit our capacity and it went well. Thanks everyone. More than the event itself, though, I have now tested successfully, I think, a turnkey to offer various non profits for a fundraiser or member mingles like alumni groups. We can also soon add on wine sales at the gallery to help raise donations, just as I used to do at the Commonwealth Club. Any candidates you have...please send them my way.

Hi Tom: Does "member" mean being a member of Bay Area Social Club (and other meetup groups through which this is posted)? So am I eligible to pay $15 today? Thanks.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
