Valley of the Moon Wine & Bike Outing !

This may be the last super fun bike trip of the year ?

Different than the Napa trip as there are way less cars to avoid. There are a few small roller coaster hills & a great over a mile long no pedal run.   Less distance than the Napa bike trip.

It's  Very beautiful & serene on the Sonoma backroads. We will start with an architecture stop, the cheese factory, then try & get in 4 unique wineries.  Our wine picnic will be under old Oaks at Barthowlomew Preserve , Museum & winery; overlooking serene colorful vineyards. (Where all California wine started by Count Haraszthy of Hungary;   A private & woodsy trail then takes us thru a hidden gate to Buena Vista winery.  (The oldest Commercial Reserve winery in Ca.)  The wine caves should be open after being closed for 15 years.  A rich French winemaker recently purchased this old winery & tossed in a few million bucks to rejuvenate it.  A "Water Vortex" was also added.

A short lake view hike (optional) is added to stretch out your bike legs at the last winery.

Then on to Sonoma's Best & to decide where in downtown Sonoma Square we will decide to have dinner.  Man ! Such a hard day to contemplate. Just another crappy day in paradise !

You will love this !  I guarantee it !     No suits sold here.

If you bring your own bike the cost is $30.  And  55.00 if you need a rental.  Please give me your height for the bike rental.

I'll have free wine tasting passes & some 2 for 1 passes available.

Bring a lunch & layered clothes.  I'll have all the usual trail food, snacks, water, tea, juice, coffee, energy drinks, Gourmet nut packs,  & wine. (at lunch)

**This is a "No Whinning" event !!!

Aloha Shenny; this event will fill fast. Most will come from my main Backroads meetup group. So if anyone wishes to have more options for carpooling ; I would try that site also.
