Experience a tasting with Eric Asimov, the most respected wine writer in America, whose book, How to Love Wine, comes out this month. The NY Times wine guru comes to the Commonwealth Club for an easily digestible primer on picking a good varietal. With the vast array of choices from every conceivable grape-growing region in the world, it can be overwhelming to try and separate the merely drinkable from the truly spectacular, but Asimov will share his tips for choosing that perfect wine.
After the discussion, he'll join you for an actual tasting from the local Bravium Wines.
Tickets currently available at Goldstar $12.50 + $4.00 fee http://www.goldstar.com/events/san-francisco-ca/wine-tasting-with-eric-asimov
For those who wish, we will grab a bite to eat afterwards at Mehfil across the street--applying the lessons we learned. An actual winemaker, Bryan Kane, will join us, IF we get enough attendees, to present some of his wines from SF Winery on Treasure Island that go well with Indian food. Indicate on your RSVP whether you will be attending. Thanks.
