Fake Meet-ups????

Ok, sounds like it?s time for me to chime in. First, let me say that I find it humorous that MOST (not all) of you commenting to this thread have never even been to one of our meet-ups, so how could you possibly judge? Robert is clearly uninformed about what I do as it is NOT a ?pyramid scheme?, but direct selling & I?m simply marketing & making sure members enjoy some great wine & have fun!. There is nothing deceptive about what?s been posted. Our meet-ups at various wine bars have nothing to do with WineShop At Home.
A little history....I held/started the very first meet-up for this group in 2006, grew the membership to over 500, so the success of this group is near & dear to my heart. Unfortunately, I had to give up as Main Organizer. Needless to say, I was thrilled when Steve Hood took it over as he has been a great sponsor. Carlos & I are the main organizers for the group. Carlos does a great job too, and many of his events revolve around where his band is playing. Is that dishonest?....I hardly think so.
REMEMBER.....Meet-ups are for people with ?like? interests. This group?s interest is wine, not whine. If there is something that is posted that you have no interest in, then by all means don?t go?..no need to be critically abusive. I just suggest that you attend an event BEFORE you criticize (and possibly try the wine...lol). Please use this forum for places to have meet-ups.
Thank you
