This meeting was a "first" for me. Barnes & Noble continued to be their graciously supportive selves. Sixteen attendees wasn't unusual. Having only five to wanting a critique has never happened when I was there! We had enough time for everyone to get into "polishing" conversations with our authors. They asked for our thoughts and discussions like this were the result - "What if you move a word here, or drop this phrase completely?" "When is this story taking place?" - answer: 1859. "Who knew we had so many species of birds in our neighborhood!" "How were you feeling when you wrote this?" - answer: angry. It was wonderful! Another first - three attendees have editorial experience. We even had time to discuss critique costs. I hope we can get all our editors and self-published authors to do a panel presentations on their experiences [hint Mr. Vice President]. We have so much talent!

    Hope to see everyone 10/17!
