Mt. Diablo State Park (outdoor day trip)

**If you have gear and know how to set anchors please say so. The more route setters the better**

Looking to hit up Mt. Diablo State park in the Boy Scout rocks area. Some climbing experience required. If you have anchoring gear please bring what you have. Route difficulty varies largely, if you are solid on 5.10’s you should be fine. Hikes in is very short and usually climb times range from 5-7 hours again depending on the group. Things you’ll need to bring:
• climbing harness
• climbing shoes
• chalk bag
• belay devise
• water & grub
• anchoring gear if you have it
• knowledge & experience on gear use
• knowledge & experience on safe climbing practices Let’s meet up at the following at 9:00am…
Danville Starbucks
398 Hartz Avenue Danville, CA 94526

Carpool from there to…
Mt. Diablo State Park (Boy Scout Rocks) [masked],[masked] (GPS) (Also, I think there's a $5-$7 gate fee)

Additional info...

NOTE: Climbing is dangerous!!! Injury and death are possible without proper use of gear and safety practices. If you in anyway feel unsafe, have doubt in your own climbing knowledge/ability, have doubt in your climbing partners knowledge/ability, or don’t trust the gear/anchors set then don’t climb! It’s up to each individual to make their own judgment calls on the saftey of the climbing scenarios.

I'll be coming up from Sunnyvale and will have room for 4 people in my car. So if anyone is in the area and would like to carpool to the starbucks where we are all meeting your welcome to join me. I'll probably be leaving Sunnyvale at 7:45-8am. Just post if you have interest and we'll figure a good place to converge (probably another starbucks).
