Anchor Class at Cragmont

I'm teaching a Gear and Anchor Class at Cragmont for the "Get Your Climb On" Meetup group tomorrow, and there is room in the class for several more people.

If you're interested in learning how to set up top rope anchors, using bolts, cams, nuts, trees, boulders, etc, this is the class for you!

All the details, registration info and link to the Paypal button to pay for the class can be found on the GYCO meetup page, here:

Let me know if you have any questions about the class. I'm happy to answer them!

Does anyone want to do an outdoor climb tomorrow, Sunday? There are two of us and we have no idea how to tie an anchor!

Glad you guys enjoyed the class, and got a lot from it. Feel free to stay in touch and let me know if you have any questions, or if you have trouble remembering anything we went over in the class. It's important to me that you learn the material, not just take the class!
    See you on the rock!

Awesome. Richard was an extremely knowledgeable instructor and took the time to explain and show many different anchor techniques. I would recommend this class to anyone, regardless of their climbing experience, to sharpen their anchor skills.

Awesome! Richard was a great instructor, the class was fun, and I feel confident to go out and apply the skills I learned.

Hi everyone - I live in St. Louis but travel to my company office in San Mateo regularly. I'd love to meet some local climbers for when I visit SF!

    Hey Kevin,
Here's the current schedule of Meetup classes I'm teaching:
Aug 3- Gear and Anchor at Cragmont
Aug 4 Self Rescue (one day) at Cragmont
Aug 17 Multi Pitch Techniques at Castle Rock
Aug 18 Trust your Trad gear at Castle Rock

I am teaching an anchor class on Aug 24 directly through the Outdoor Adventure Club. The Outdoor Adventure Club version of the class is a little more expensive, but has a lower student to instructor ratio, and you get a free cordolette in the Outdoor Adventure Club class.

Will this be offered on August 24 as well?
