This would be the perfect time to hit up Tahoe tomorrow if you ski or snowboard - might be last pow day we get this season

Hey Everyone, it was raining good this morning up here. We're going to have to cancel.

    Hey Everyone,
With a likely rain out, don't worry about RSVP'ing out. If you have other opportunities seize them! :)

I hate to say it everyone but looking at the revised forecast, it seems more likely that there will be some rain Friday. If so, we'll have to cancel :( Sandstone is really delicate when wet. Holds come right off which is why it's against the rules to climb within 3 days after a rain. The rules are there to protect this amazing rock-not us :)

I think the closest non-sandstone climbing areas that can handle a crowd are Mt. St. Helena or the Grotto (The Grotto's in the shade). But they are a few hours away and I don't know what the rules are there or how the rock reacts to water. Pinnacles I heard is a no go while wet too. I live next to Castle Rock in Boulder Creek and just have the afternoons off this weekend. You might research Mt. St. Helena (call the Rangers) and throw it out there if it works.

Yeah, I came to the same conclusion regarding the areas. Keep us posted on rain conditions in Boulder Creek :)

I'll be at Castle Rock from morning if the rock is dry, we can meet up in the afternoon or if there are too many people, I'll just climb at another cliff :)

Be mindful of the rain - we do have 60% chance of rain on Thursday and possibly on Friday.

Back up plan is Last Temptation, Cal Ridge, or some of the lower crags that face full sun.

But yeah, who knows? I definitely will never break the sandstone law of climbing while wet. I love these rocks and each hold :) We do have a couple of southern exposure crags that have been useful through "the" rainy month though :)

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
