This Meetup group is dedicated to bringing people together to enjoy the sport of rock climbing. As such, the group's primary focus is to try to make it easy to meet other like minded people through mostly regular climbing gym meetups around the Bay Area and through the message board. This group is being led by non-professional volunteer organizers and is thus not about formal teaching but we do welcome new and experienced climbers. The decision has been made to put some formal classes on the calendar run outside of the Meetup group. As members of this group, we'd like to get a sense of whether people like this idea. Events will mostly revolve around safety classes rather than general gatherings to climb (that is what this group for in the first place). Indicate how you feel about going forward with more of these.

For those that will be participating in outdoor meetups, please rate your comfort level when top roping an outdoor environment so we can plan accordingly. Ratings are in the Yosemite Decimal System.
